To You, Four Years Ago: Vol. 1 is the first installment in a three-part film project by Jake Messina, created as a personal time capsule documenting the final chapter of high school. Filmed over the course of a single week at the beginning of senior year, the film follows Jake through everyday life—going to school, touring college, attending events, and spending time with friends. What starts as simple documentation gradually becomes more reflective, capturing not just events, but the feeling of living through them.
